Perancangan Tata Letak Gudang Operasional Pabrik pada Pt. Semen Padang menggunakan Metode Fix Slot Storage dan Metode Shared Storage

Abstract

Warehouse is needed as a temporary storage place for all kinds of goods, PT. Semen Padang is a company engaged in the building industry that produces cement on a large scale. PT. Semen Padang has a factory operational warehouse which functions to store all products produced before being distributed to customers. Types of cement products at PT. Semen Padang consists of 3 types of superior products, namely OPC Cement, PCC Cement. The problems faced by PT. Semen Padang is that there are no specific rules for placing finished products in the factory's operational warehouse. This also makes it difficult for material handling operators to place products and look for products when they are about to be shipped. Therefore, it is necessary to improve the layout of PT. Semen Padang using the fixed slot storage and shared storage methods to get product positions that efficiently increase product activity. By using the fixed slot storage method, the number of slots obtained is 14 slots with an area used of 464 m2 with a remaining area of 66.85%, while using the shared storage method, the number of slots obtained is 24 slots with an area used of 426. 6 m2 with the remaining area of 69.52%
