Rancang Bangun Antena Flower pot sebagai Antena Penerima Siaran Tv Digital
Abstract
This paper discusses the design of a flower pot antenna intended for application as a digital television broadcast receiving antenna in Medan city in the Ultra High Frequency (UHF) frequency range of 530 - 650 MHz. This antenna as a basic structure consists of, upper radiator (λ/4), lower radiator (λ/4) and resonant choke length. The upper radiator component has a tolerance of 11%, the lower radiator of 13%, and the resonant choke length of 7.5%. The antenna parameters measured with a vector network analyser (VNA) are return loss, voltage standing wave ratio (VSWR) and bandwidth. In this research, there are two design results, namely the initial design and the optimal design. In the initial design, the return loss value is only -4.11 dB and VSWR is 2.70 at a frequency of 530 - 650 MHz. While the optimal design of the return loss parameter value becomes -12.85 dB and VSWR of 1.59. Based on testing, the flower pot antenna is placed in a flower pot with a height of 3 metres and connected to the cable in port on a digital television. The results of the test obtained the average signal level reached 52.14% and the signal quality reached 99%
