This Bio-Char manufacturing plant with coconut shell raw materials uses a pyrolysis process with a type of Slow Pyrolysis process which takes place at a temperature of 400 °C and a pressure of 1 atm. The plant is planned to operate with a capacity of 100.000 tons / year and operate 330 days a year. This factory is expected to meet the needs of Bio-Char domestically and abroad.
The factory location is planned in Rokan Hillir district, Riau Province with an area of 38,040 m2, the required workforce is 200 people with a Limited Liability Company (PT) system in the form of a line and staff organizational structure under the leadership of a Director.
The results of the pre-design economic analysis of the biochar manufacturing plant from coconut shells are:
•
Investment Capital = Rp. 2.057.344.004.001
•
Production Cost per Year = Rp. 2.470.435.301.085
•
Product Selling Price per Year = Rp. 3.024.389.108.950
•
Net Profit per Year = Rp. 387.362.665.506
•
Profit Margin (PM) = 18 %
•
Break Even Point (BEP) = 45 %
•
Return On Investment (ROI) = 19 %
•
Pay Out Time (POT) = 5,311 year
•
Return On Network (RON) = 31 %
•
Internal Rate of Return (IRR) = 32 %
From the results of economic analysis, it can be concluded that the pre-designed biochar manufacturing plant from coconut shells with slow pyrolysis process is feasible to be established
