Desain Pembangkit Listrik Pico Hydro menggunakan Turbin Cross-flow terhadap Jumlah Variasi Sudu dan masukan Guide Vane
Abstract
Rapid technological development and progress will have an impact on increasing demand for electrical energy sources. In Indonesia, there are still many villages in rural areas that do not have access to electricity. Sitinjo is a sub-district located in Dairi Regency, North Sumatra Province. This sub-district has abundant natural resources. However, the utilization of water in the irrigation system is underutilized by the local community as a source of renewable energy and is only used for the waters of rice fields in the area. Given the lack of lighting at night, the roads between villages become pitch black. It is expected that by utilizing the potential of natural resources in the area, it can meet electricity needs, especially for street lighting at night. Pico hydro (PLTPh) is a type of small-scale power plant, which shows the simplicity of the equipment used. The advantage of pico hydro is that it does not cause environmental damage. This study aims to determine the effect of blade variation on guide vane openings and gear ratio comparisons. From the results obtained with 18 blades and 50% guide vane openings with a gear ratio ratio of 1: 3,540 and a water discharge of 8.5 L/s, the generator output power is 13.1Watt with a generator rotational speed of 314 RPM and a generator output voltage of 12.13 volt
