Analisis Algoritma FP-Growth dan Backward Chaining untuk Pemasaran Kearifan Lokal pada Marketplace Berbasis Web

Abstract

Local wisdom refers to cultural knowledge passed down through oral communication from one generation to the next. The term "local" pertains to the place or environment where something grows, develops, or carries meaning that may differ from other places or hold values that apply locally or universally. A valuable example of such local wisdom is ulos, a distinctive woven fabric of the Batak tribe in North Sumatra, which plays a significant role in various traditional ceremonies. However, at present, many aspects of local wisdom face the threat of extinction due to a lack of attention in the development of local products. For instance, Ulos Batak is challenging to find outside of North Sumatra because local weavers struggle to market their products. Hence, specific efforts are needed to preserve ulos as a part of the cultural heritage of the Batak Toba tribe. Technological advancements, especially online stores, have played a crucial role in preserving and developing local products. Unfortunately, products of local wisdom, such as ulos, are seldom given top recommendations on online platforms. To address this issue, the author develop a dedicated online website marketplace for ulos woven fabrics with a recommendation system that employs the FP-Growth algorithm using the Backward Chaining methodology..
