Hubungan Panjang Berat, Kepadatan dan Faktor Kondisi Ikan Belanak (Mugil Cephalus) di Perairan Pantai Bagan Kuala, Kabupaten Serdang Bedagai

Abstract

Mullet fish (Mugil cephalus) is one of fishes often catches by the fisherman surrounding Bagan Kuala Beach and is consumed by the community because it is nutritious and it has economic value. This research aimed to determine the length - weight relationship and the condition factors of mullet fish as well as their correlation between the fish density to the physical and chemical factors of the waters at Bagan Kuala Beach, Serdang Bedagai Regency. This research was carried out in May-June 2023, using the purposive sampling method to determine the research location points. Data analysis included the relationship between length-weight, the density of fish, the condition factors and the physical and chemical factors of waters. A total of 52 fishes were caught using a net measuring 100 m x 5 m, with a mesh of 3x3 cm2. Based on the research results from the three stations, the growth pattern at the three stations was negative allometric (b<3). The condition factor value ranged from 0.9803 to 1.2401. Based on this value, the fish condition factor was K<2, indicates that the fish's body was classified as slightly flat. The density at the three stations ranges from 0.022 to 0.048 ind/m. The result of the correlation test showed that pH had a very strong influence on the density of mullet fish
