dc.description.abstract | Oxalic acid is a carboxylic acid derivative that has two hydroxyl groups located at the end of its carbon chain. The production of oxalic acid in this pre liminary plant design uses an alkaline hydrolysis process using cocoa shell as raw material. This oxalic acid plant is planned to have a production capacity of 10,000 tons/year and operate 330 days a year. This plant was established to meet the needs of oxalic acid in Indonesia and can be imported to Southeast Asia.
The planned plant location is in Kecamatan Tallo, Makassar, South Sulawesi with the required land area of 9,816 m2. To operate the plant, 100 employees are needed. The planned form of organization of this company is Perseroan Terbatas with a line and staff organizational structure.
This economic analysis results on this preliminary plant design of oxalic acid from cocoa shell are as follows:
• Total Capital Investment = Rp 478.990.467.235
• Total Production Cost = Rp 654.859.576.991
• Total Sales = Rp 788.798.940.000
• Net Profit = Rp 93.343.766.336
• Profit Margin (PM) = 11,83 %
• Break Even Point (BEP) = 27,50 %
• Return On Investment (ROI) = 19,49 %
• Pay Out Time (POT) = 5,13 year
• Return On Network (RON) = 32,48 %
• Internal Rate of Return (IRR) = 19,71 %
Based on the results of the economic aspect analysis, it can be concluded that this oxalic acid manufacturing plant is feasible to be establish | en_US |
