    Pengaruh Lingkungan Fisik Dalam dan Luar Rumah dan Perilaku dengan Kejadian Malaria di Daerah Kecamatan Endemis Labuhanbatu Utara Tahun 2023

    Abstract
    Based on WHO data, there were 219 million cases of malaria worldwide in 2019. And malaria is still an endemic disease in the world. Every year the number of sufferers of the disease transmitted by Anopheles mosquitoes reaches more than 200 million. In North Sumatra as of 2018 there were 67,314 malaria sufferers. in Labuhanbatu Regency In the North there are 329 people with malaria. The purpose of this research is to analyze influence Environment and Behavior with Malaria Incidence in Endemic District Areas Labuhan Batu Utara in 2022. This type of research is quantitative with a Case–Control design. In this study the number of samples as many as 114 respondents and used the Multiple Logistic Regression test. Based on the results of this study, the related variables were standing water ( p = 0.030), swamps ( p = 0.001), bushes ( p = 0.022), knowledge ( p = 0.004), and action ( p = 0.034). As well as the most influential variables causing the incidence of malaria, namely swamps (OR=3.444), knowledge (OR=2.948), and action (OR=2.571). In this case, community participation is needed in keeping the environment clean, cleaning the environment by removing bushes, hoarding swamps as well as placing predatory animals in the swamps such as snakehead fish, sepat fish, and ducklings, using mosquito nets, wearing clothes long sleeves at night, and use mosquito coils or topical mosquito coils and put screens on the ventilation of the house. The role of health workers in this case is to increase public knowledge by conducting counseling about malaria, socializing how to prevent malaria by using the 3M principle (Drain, Cover, and Bury).
