dc.description.abstract | The work system applied in government agencies, generally workers in the office field in achieving optimal work results is influenced by several aspects of ergonomics involved in the process. In this case, the problem of high employee absenteeism and tardiness shows the lack of encouragement possessed by employees as a result of organizational ergonomics that has not gone well including horizontal communication, vertical communication, teamwork, and training. The objective of the research is to find out the correlation of organizational ergonomics with work motivation in the employees of the Religious Affairs Office of Binjai in 2023. The research is conducted in May 2023 using a quantitative method with a cross-sectional design. The population is 62 employees at the Religious Affairs Office of Binjai, and all of them are used as the samples (total sampling). The data are gathered by using questionnaire and analyzed by using a product moment correlation test. The result of the research shows that there is a correlation between vertical communication and work motivation (p=0.020), between horizontal communication and work motivation (p=0.000), between training and work motivation (p=0.000), and between teamwork and work motivation (p=0.000). The variable which has the most dominant correlation with a very strong category is teamwork at the correlation coefficient value (r) of 0.901. It is recommended that the employees be more transparent and instill self-confidence in them with their work, especially by establishing good teamwork in order to increase their work motivation. | en_US |
