| dc.description.abstract | The kedukang fish (Hexanematichthys sagor) is a type of catfish often found in
coastal areas. The research on the density, the relationship between length and
weight and the condition factors of Kedukang Fish (Hexanematichthys sagor) at
Bagan Kuala Beach, Serdang Bedagai Regency was carried out from May 2023 to
June 2023.The aim of this research was to analyze the density of the kedukang fish
(Hexanematichthys sagor); to analyze the relationship between length and weight
and condition factors of the kedukang fish (Hexanematichthys sagor) Bagan Kuala
Beach, and also to analyze the relationship between the density of the kedukang fish
(Hexanematichthys sagor) with physical-chemical factors of Bagan Kuala Beach.
The Purposive Sampling method was used to determine the locations research based
on mangrove vegetation areas, residential areas and tourist destination areas. The
data analysis carried out about the relationship of length and weight, the condition
factors, the density, the correlation analysis between the density of kedukang fish and
the physical-chemical factors of the waters. The result of the research obtained the
growth pattern of the kedukang fish was negative allometric where the body length
growth is more dominant than body weight, the value of the condition factor for the
kedukang fish ranges between 1,140 to 1,726, indicating that the body of the
kedukang fish is classified as less flat. The highest density of kedukang fish found at
station 3 on the tourist area, 0.046 ind/m2, and the lowest density was at station 2
on the residential area with a value of 0.022 ind/m2. The correlation values for the
density of kedukang fish are temperature, which showed a strong correlation as well
as BOD5 and phosphate. | en_US |
