Pengaruh Kepemimpinan Transformasional dan Motivasi Kerja terhadap Kinerja Karyawan pada Perusahaan Umum Daerah (PERUMDA) Air Minum Tirtauli Kota Pematang Siantar
Abstract
Increasingly competitive competition makes companies must be able to increase their competitiveness to maintain the survival of the company. One of the efforts that can be made is to improve employee performance. The success and failure of improving employee performance, one of which is determined by leadership, namely an effective leadership style that will have an impact on the progress of the company and work motivation that supports efforts to improve the quality of employee work.
This study aims to determine the effect of transformational leadership and work motivation on employee performance at the Regional Public Company (Perumda) Tirtauli drinking water in Pematang Siantar City. This research was given to employees of Perumda Tirtauli drinking water in the city of Pematang Siantar only.
This form of research is quantitative research with an associative approach. The population in this study were all employees of Perumda Tirtauli of Pematang Siantar city. The sampling technique used is non-probability sampling with simple random sampling. Data collection techniques were carried out with primary data obtained through direct distribution of questionnaires and secondary data obtained through literature studies. The analysis techniques used are validity test, reliability test, normality test, multicollinearity test, heteroscedasticity test, multiple linear regression, partial test, simultaneous test, and determination coefficient test processed through SPSS software.
The results of this study indicate that the transformational leadership variable has a positive and significant effect on employee performance with a t-count value of 4.927> 1.991 with a significance level of 0.000 <0.05. The work motivation variable has a positive and significant effect on employee performance with a t-count value of 4.294> 1.991 with a significance level of 0.000 <0.05. Furthermore, transformational leadership variables and work motivation have a joint effect (simultaneously) on employee performance with an F-count value of 130.207> 3.12 or based on the sig. value of 0.000 <0.05. An effect of 76.6%, while the remaining 23.4% is influenced by other factors outside this research model.
