dc.description.abstract | This research aims to study the dose and intensity of liquid potassium foliar fertilizer on the growth and production of watermelon (Citrullus vulgaris Schard.), which was conducted at the Technical Implementation Unit of Palawija Main Seed, Tanjung Anom, Kecamatan Pancur Batu, Kabupaten Deli
Serdang, Sumatera Utara, Medan. This study used a factorial randomized blok
design (RBD) with 2 factors. The first factor is the dose of potassium liquid leaf fertilizer which is 2.5; 5; and 7.5 L/ha; the second factor is the intensity of potassium liquid leaf fertilizer application which is 42; 35 and 49; 35, 42 and 49 days after transplanting (DAT). The results showed that the application of potassium liquid leaf fertilizer significantly increased the number of leaves at 7 WAT and fruit sugar content at a fertilizer dose of 7.5 L/ha. The intensity of liquid potassium foliar fertilizer significantly increased the number of leaves at 7 WAT and fruit sugar content. The best intensity of potassium liquid leaf fertilizer application was obtained at 3 times fertilization (35, 42 and 49 DAT). The interaction between dose and intensity of liquid potassium foliar fertilizer application had no significant effect on all parameters. | en_US |
