Kepadatan, Hubungan Panjang Berat dan Faktor Kondisi Ikan Sembilang (Plotosus Canius) di Perairan Pantai Bagan Kuala, Kabupaten Serdang Bedagai

Abstract

Sembilang fish (Plotosus canius) is one of the fish that lives on Bagan Kuala Beach and is often consumed by the people around the beach. This study aimed to determine the density, the length weight relationship of the condition factor of Sembilang fish and the relationship of fish density to physical and chemical factors in the waters of Bagan Kuala Beach, Serdang Bedagai Regency. This research was carried out on May - June 2023, using the purposive sampling method to determine the research location points. Data analysis included length weight relationship, condition factors, density of the fish and physical and chemical factors of the water. A total of 44 individual fishes were caught using a net measuring 100 x 5 m, with mesh size 3x3 cm2. Based on the results of the research at the three stations, the growth pattern at the three stations was allometric negative (b<3). The value of condition factor ranged from 0,93527 to 1,05139, with this value, the fish together with the value of K<2, showed that the fish body was classified as less plump. Density of fish at the three stations ranged from 0,022 to 0,036 ind/m. The results of correlation test showed pH had a very strong influence on the density of Sembilang fish
