Diabetes is a disease caused by high blood sugar levels. Diabetes can also be considered as a disease caused by abnormal chemical reactions about the utilization of carbohydrates, fats and proteins of food due to underconsumption or lack of insulin. Sugar levels should be constantly monitored in patients so that the disease can be controlled by them. There are two methods to control blood glucose levels, namely Medical Laboratory Test (MLT) and Blood Glucose Meter (BGM). In this study, researchers have developed an IoT-based blood glucose meter using an Esp32 microcontroller. Measurements are made by observing the pH of the urine and also the color of the urine. The measurements use a TCS3200 color sensor and also a pH-4502C sensor. The circuit is designed using online EDA (Electronic Design Automation) software. From the results of the study can be seen that in color testing, the average error is 5.02%. This can be minimized by increasing the number of urine samples used in determining the conversion equation of the frequency combination into sugar levels because the regression equation is an equation determining predictions so that the more urine samples, the smaller the percentage error of the color sensor. In pH testing, it can be seen that all pH test results both using the assembled device do not exceed the threshold of diabetics, namely 4.5-5.5. The test also obtained the average result of urine pH testing error with an average error of 4.125%.
