This study aims to identify morphological characters and phylogenetic
relationships of several genotypes of coconut (Cocos nucifera L.) in Bakongan
District, East Bakongan District, and South Kluet District, South Aceh Regency,
Aceh Province. This research was conducted from June to July 2022 using
descriptive survey method based on coconut descriptor of International Plant
Genetic Resources Institute (IPGRI) with sampling technique using accidental
sampling technique. The results showed that in South Aceh District 27 genotypes of
coconut been identified. The results of the morphological characteristics of coconut
plants found in general are the shape of the crown X "silhouette", upright stem
growth pattern, the color of the leaflets is green, the color of the petiole is yellowish
green, the type of flowering is normal and the shape of the fruit is elbow-shaped
and yellow. The closest phylogenic relationship or lowest dissimilarity value is
found in genotypes BK2S2 and BK2S3, which is 15,109%. The farthest phylogenetic
or highest dissimilarity value is found in genotypes BK1S1 and KT1S1, which is
115,630%.
