Callosobruchus chinensis is a warehouse pest that can reduce the quality and quantity of green bean production by up to 100%. C. chinensis attacks cause weight loss, reduced germination, and changes in nutrition in the seeds, making them dangerous if consumed by humans or for commercial and agricultural use. This study aims to examine the preferences of four types of beans (mung beans, peanuts, red beans, and soybeans) towards C. chinensis. This research was carried out at the Plant Disease Laboratory, Faculty of Agriculture, University of North Sumatra, Medan. This research was carried out from May to August 2023. This research used a non-factorial Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with 4 levels, namely green beans, red beans, peanuts and soybeans. The research results showed that green beans were the most suitable feed because they showed an attack in terms of the number of eggs, the number of imago that emerged, the sex ratio, and the percentage of feed weight loss compared to red beans, peanuts and soybeans.
