dc.description.abstract | Ujung Bandar Village is a village located at the Leuser mountains which has high humid air, low air temperatures and fairly high rainfall. Such environmental conditions allow the village to become a breeding ground for mosquitoes, both anthropophilic and zoophilic. The research was conducted on October 2022 and February 2023 with the aim of identifying the types of mosquitoes in Ujung Bandar Village, Langkat Regency and analyzing the difference of the density of anthropophilic mosquitoes and zoophilic mosquitoes. Determination of sampling location points was carried out by using the Purposive Sampling method. The sampling was carried out using 2 methods, the Human Landing Collection (HLC) method and the Animal Baited Trap (ABT) method. The results of this research showed there were 4 species of zoophilic mosquitoes consisting of the Anopheles barbirostris, An. kochi, An. vagus limosus, and Culex gelidus mosquitoes and therew were 5 species of anthropophilic mosquitoes consisting of An. leucosphyrus, An maculatus, Aedes albopictus, Cx. sp., also Armigeres sulbabatus. The highest mosquito density value obtained on October was zoophilic at the forest area, An.maculatus with a density value of 2.40 and a relative density of 44.19%. The highest mosquito density value obtained on February was anthropophilic which was the Cx. sp. with a density value of 1.52 and a relative density of 63.16%. | en_US |
