dc.description.abstract | The research to analyze the effect of carrot leaf extract (Daucus carota L) addition to the the artificial feed on the growth and survival of tilapia fry (Oreochromis niloticus). This research had been carried out on January to March 2023 up to 60 days at the Natural Resources and Environmental Management Laboratory, Department of Biology, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, University of Sumatera Utara. The experiment carried out by Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with 4 treatments and 6 repeats, which were P0 treatment (Pellet feed + without carrot leaf extract, P1 (Pellet + carrot leaf extract 0.5%), P2 (Pellet + carrot leaf extract 1%), P3 (Pellet + carrot leaf extract 1.5%). Several water quality parameters measured include temperature, pH, DO, and ammonia. The results of the research showed that carrot leaf extract had an (P<0.05) on the growth of weight and length of tilapia, but same (P>0.05) for Survival rates (SR). The addition of carrot leaf extract with a concentration of 1% was able to provide a weight increase into 10.40 g and the highest length increase by 10,27 cm compared to other concentrations and it had better feed quality since it had the lowest feed conversion value in the P2 treatment with a carrot leaf extract concentration of 1% by 1,44 g. | en_US |
