Pengaruh Beberapa Jenis dan Dosis Pupuk Organik pada Pertumbuhan dan Produksi Wortel (Daucus carota L.)

Abstract

Increasing of carrot crops production can be done with proper cultivation, one of which is by applying the right type and dose of organic fertilizer. This reseacrh aims to study the effect of the application of several types and doses of organic fertilizers on the growth and production of carrot plants. This research was conducted on farmers land in Desa Salit, Kecamatan Tigapanah, Kabupaten Karo, Sumatera Utara with an altitude of ± 1200 meters above sea level, from January to May 2023. This reseacrh used a Randomized Block Design with 2 treatment factors. The first factor was several types of organic fertilizers, namely chicken manure, corn litter compost, coffee husk compost, and paitan green manure. The second factor is the dose of organic fertilizer, ie 10 tons/ha, 20 tons/ha, 30 tons/ha. The results showed that the type of organic fertilizer had a significant effect on plant height at 4-12 weeks after planting, number of leaves at 7-8 weeks after planting, tuber diameter, tuber weight per sample, tuber weight per plot, and stover weight per plot, the best result are obtained on chicken manure treatment. The dose of organic fertilizer and the interaction between the two treatments had no significant effect on all observed parameters.
