dc.description.abstractThis study aims to determine the effect of planting media and the best concentration of coconut water on the growth and production of Microgreen wheat (Triticum aestivum L.). This research was carried out in the Gauze House of the Faculty of Agriculture, University of North Sumatra with an altitude of ± 25 meters above sea level (dpl) in July 2023. This study used a factorial Randomized Group Design (RAK) with two treatments, namely by giving planting media: 25% topsoil : 75%Cocopeat, 50% topsoil : 50% Cocopeat, 75% topsoil : 25% Cocopeat and coconut water: water; 25%, 50% and 75%. Data were analyzed by analysis of variance, the significant variance was continued by using Duncan's Multiple Range Test at the 5% level. The results showed that the treatment of top soil and Cocopeat planting media had a significant effect on the parameters of plant height at 7, 11-14 HST, harvest index, and chlorophyll B. The treatment of coconut water significantly affects the parameters of plant height at age 7 and fresh crown weight. The interaction between the treatment of planting media and coconut water significantly affected the parameters of chlorophyll A and total chlorophyll.en_US
