dc.description.abstractThis research aims to see the effect of elbow radius variation at different speeds using OpenFOAM software. This study will also see the difference between the two flows, namely laminar and turbulent flow. First, the pipe geometry is determined such as making the radius and mesh that will be used later in the Salome application. Next, OpenFOAM is used to do modeling or also called solving. The last stage is used or the pre-processing stage using the Paraview application. The results obtained will be processed so as to obtain data on pressure and velocity values and then calculations will be made to obtain headloss and k values. From these calculations, a curve can be made and concluded that turbulent flow has a higher headloss value than laminar flow but is proportional to the value of k.en_US
