Pengelolaan Asuhan Keperawatan pada Remaja Putri melalui Metode Pendampingan : Pertemanan pada Masalah Kesehatan Reproduksi di Desa Karang Rejo Stabat
Abstract
Adolescence is the age from the child stage to the adult stage, while mid-teens are 13-15 years old. Adolescents have biological changes, namely the reproductive process that begins to mature. This requires good knowledge about the reproductive organs because of the increasing prevalence of reproductive health problems in young women in the world. Health service programs, especially in health promotion activities related to reproductive health, are still not optimal, accompanied by a lack of interest in adolescents in seeking information from various sources. Young women must maintain their reproductive health to prevent common reproductive health problems such as vaginal discharge, endometriosis, ovarian cysts, and even cervical cancer as a result of improper personal hygiene. The purpose of this pre-research was to determine the effect of friendship mentoring methods using educational comic media on the knowledge and behavior of young women regarding reproductive health. The method used is friendship mentoring with peer groups. The results showed that there was an increase in the knowledge of young women in the good category by 5 people (100%), and the behavior of young women in the good category by 4 people (80%). There is a disagreement between the pre-test and post-test scores after being given health education about knowledge of vaginal discharge (flour albus), personal hygiene during menstruation, and menstrual pain (dysmenorrhea). The author advises students to always innovate and be creative in choosing an effective method and media to provide education to targets according to their character and age.
