Inventarisasi Hama dan Eksplorasi Musuh Alami pada Tanaman Kopi Robusta Coffea canephora di Kabupaten Mandailing Natal

Abstract

Coffee is a plantation commodity that plays an important role in Indonesia's economic activities. The evergreen nature of coffee supports its attractiveness to many arthropods. More than 3000 species of insects and mites are associated with coffee, both as plant-eating arthropods (phytophages) and as pbrocarpators and parasites. This study aims to determine the catching of insects found in robusta coffee plants (Coffea canephora). This research was conducted from May until August on a community coffee plantation in Gunungtua Julu Village, Panyabungan District, Mandailing Natal Regency at an altitude of ± 300 meters above sea level. This research was conducted by purposive sampling using 5 fishing methods (sweep net, yellow sticky trap, brocarp trap, pitfall trap, and hand picking). The results of the study found 1125 individuals from 35 generas and 6 orders of insects in robusta coffee (Coffea canephora) plantations, including Blattodea, Coleoptera, Diptera, Ephemeroptera, Hemiptera, and Hymenoptera. The index of insect diversity in robusta coffee plantations (Coffea canephora) is 2.65, the index of species richness is 7.025, the index of evenness 0.7. Indicated functional status on land includes herbivoraes, predators, decomposers, and pollinators.
