Karakteristik dan Klasifikasi Tanah di PT Toba Pulp Lestari Sektor Tele
Abstract
The soil survey research at PT. Toba Pulp Lestari Tele Sector aims to examine soil characteristics and classification from order to subgroup level in Partungko Naginjang Village, Harian District, Samosir Regency. Soil analysis was conducted in the Research and Technology Laboratory of the Faculty of Agriculture, Universitas Sumatera Utara. Morphology and land characteristics observed on two representative profiles, the first land profile (P1) was observed at an altitude of 1,644 m above sea level, and the second land profile (P2) was observed at 1.682 m above sea level. Soil analysis included soil morphology (soil color, soil structure and soil consistency) and loboratory analysis included bulk density, texture, pH H2O, C-organic, and Cation Exchange Capacity (CEC). The results of the research indicate that the soil in Tele is a parent soil made from Toba Tuff with the texture of sandy loam and sandy loam which contains high C-Organic content and Cation Exchange Capacity (CEC). Soils in the representative profile were classified according to Key to Soil Taxonomy 2014 as P1 Fluventic Humudepts and P2 Typic Humudepts.
