Pengaruh Konsentrasi Plant Growth Promoting Rhizobacter (PGPR) Akar Bambu dan Lama Perendaman Umbi terhadap Pertumbuhan dan Produksi Bawang Merah (Allium ascalonicum L.)
Abstract
Shallot is an annual plant widely used in various aspects of life. The expensive price of chemical fertilizers must be overcome by using biological fertilizer, one of them is Plant Growth Promoting Rhizobacter (PGPR). The aim of this research was to identify the effect of the PGPR concentration of bamboo roots and duration of tuber soaking on the growth and production of shallots (Allium ascalonicum L.). This research was carried out in Simpang Selayang Village, Medan Tuntungan District, Medan, North Sumatra at an altitude of around 45 meters above sea level (masl) starting from June 2023 to September 2023. The research used a 2-factor Randomized Block Design (RAK) with 3 replications . The first factor is the PGPR dose which consists of 4 treatment levels: 0, 15, 30, and 45 ml. The second factor is the duration of PGPR which consists of 3 treatment levels: 0, 30, and 60 minutes. The results showed that PGPR concentration had a significant effect on the number of leaves at 3-8 WAP, the number of cloves, the wet weight of tubers per plant, the wet weight of tubers per plot, the selling weight of tubers per plant, and the selling weight of tubers per plot. The soaking time had no significant effect on all observation parameters. The best treatment combination was the P3L0 treatment with a concentration of 45 ml and without soaking.
