Peran Penggunaan Media Sosial Tiktok terhadap Proses Self Healing Mahasiswa (Studi Kualitatif pada Mahasiswa FISIP Universitas Sumatera Utara)

Abstract

This study entitled "The Role of the Use of Tiktok Sosial Media in Student Self Healing Process (Qualitative Study of Sosial Sciences Students at the University of North Sumatra)". The purpose of this study was to find out the role of sosial media TikTok on the Self Healing process of USU FISIP students. This study uses a qualitative approach with descriptive research methods. Informants in this study amounted to four people. Data collection techniques used were interviews, observation, and literature studies. The data that has been collected will be analyzed using condensation techniques, presenting data, and drawing conclusions. Test the validity of the data is done by using triangulation. The research results show that the role of TikTok sosial media in the Self Healing process for final year students who experience mental health disorders is quite effective and has an effect that can reduce bosan yang berlebihan due to working on their thesis. Because according to informants in this research, TikTok sosial media is a complete sosial media, starting from videos about entertainment, as well as information that they don't know about. It's not surprising that many individuals are currently playing on TikTok sosial media. Informants in this study applied different types of Self Healing processes, namely Expressive Writing, Positive-Talk, and Gratitude.
