    Abstract
A lake is a basin on the earth's surface that contains water and is stagnant. Lakes can be formed naturally by natural events or artificially by human activities. The source of lake water can come from rainwater, springs or river water. Silosung Lake is a natural lake located in Siponjot Village, Lintong Nihuta District, Humbang Hasundutan Regency. Lake morphometry is the physical characteristics of the lake body, while lake bathymetry is the measurement and mapping of the topographic conditions of the lake's bottom waters. The purpose of this study was to determine the morphological characteristics in the aspects of morphometry and bathymetry in the waters of Silosung Lake, Lintong Nihuta District, Humbang Hasundutan Regency. This research was conducted in July 2023. Data collection carried out in this study includes lake circumference data, lake depth data, lake length and width, lake area and lake water quality data. The results of this study are Silosung Lake has an area of 104,806.6 m² with a lake perimeter length of 1,573.5 m, maximum length of 474.53 m and maximum width of 420.62 m, maximum depth of 17 m, average depth of 10.09 m, relative depth of 7.9% with an average slope of 15.9%, depth of compensation of 4.32 m and MEI value of 2.88. Silosung Lake has a lake water volume of 1,057,108.6 m³. The average TSI value of Silosung Lake waters is 15.71 where the trophic status of Silosung Lake is classified as oligotroph, which is a low productivity condition.
