Rancang Bangun Prototype Alat Uji Evaporasi Air Laut Sistem Konveksi Paksa Kapasitas 1 Kg
Abstract
Sea water is a natural resource that can be used to get clean water and salt. Evaporation is a surface process that occurs when liquid molecules break from their bonds and fly out as gas. One system that is used to increase the rate of water evaporation is forced convection system. Until now, the evaporation rate equations developed by previous researchers were only limited to pond water or fresh water and did not take into account the humidity factor. Therefore, it is necessary to design and build a prototype seawater evaporation test equipment to test the rate of seawater evaporation. The prototype design concept for this seawater evaporation test equipment uses a blower, evaporator, heater and halogen lamp. The aim of designing and building a prototype seawater evaporation test tool is that it can later be used to test the rate of seawater evaporation. With a water capacity of 1 kg and an evaporation rate of 635 gram/m2 hour, the required dimensions of the sectional tank are 36 x 31 x 1.5 cm, the required dimensions of the wind tunnel are 100 x 40 x 42 cm, the overall dimensions of the evaporation test equipment prototype frame sea water, namely 175.5 x 40 x 80 cm, and the required heater power is at least 1700 W
