dc.description.abstract | Gravitational Water Vortex Turbine is one of clean energy, which uses one of the
widely used alternative energy sources, namely water. This power plant is also
included in the pychohydro power plant category, because this turbine uses
hydropower as its driving force, by utilizing the potential energy of falling water
(head) and the amount of water discharge. The purpose of this design is to know
the design of the GWVT system. This GWVT system is pycohydro scale, because it
produces power of < 5 Kw. In the design of the GWVT system with a flow rate of
0.0225 m3 / s obtained basin height of 0.9 m with a diameter of 1.4 m and an outlet
of 0.2m and cone basin angle of 67o. The runner blade design has 5 blades with t =
0.3 m and a runner width of 0.7 m with a diameter of 20 mm and a length of 110
