Analisa Perbandingan Persamaan Laju Penguapan Air Laut dengan Sistem Konveksi Paksa
Abstract
Evaporation has many applications in various fields. For example, in the food drying process, in the water desalination process, in cooling ponds, and power generation. However, until now there is no calculation formula that can precisely calculate the theoretical evaporation rate of water. From time to time, many researchers have conducted research and come up with calculation formulas for the rate of water evaporation. To calculate the theoretical water evaporation rate, there are differences in the parameters used in the calculation. In this study, the calculation formula of water evaporation rate with calculation parameters proposed by M. Al - Shammiri (2002), Tang (2004), Jodat (2012), Inan (2017), and Mohammed Shah (2018) will be compared with the experimental water evaporation rate. This study aims to determine the smallest percent error of the theoretically calculated water evaporation rate against the experimental water evaporation rate. The results showed that at wind speeds of 0.5 m/s; 1.0 m/s; 1.5 m/s; and 2.0 m/s, the calculation formulas proposed by Jodat; Jodat; Inan; and Inan with percent errors of 0.20%; 0.33%, 4.56%; and 10.77%
