Komunikasi Kelompok dalam Mengembangkan Kemampuan Kerja Mahasiswa Magang di Kantor Pertanahan Kota Medan Tahun 2022

Abstract

This research is entitled "Group Communication in Developing the Work Ability of Internship Students at kantor Pertanahan Kota Medan in 2022." The purpose of this study was to determine the process and role of group communication in developing the employability of intern students at kantor Pertanahan Kota Medan. The theory used in this study is Group Achievement Theory. Group Achievement Theory is closely related to group productivity or efforts to achieve it through examination of member inputs, mediating variables, and outputs (group output). The theories and concepts in this study are communication, group communication, group communication role and work ability. This research uses a qualitative research methods with descriptive approach. The data collection techniques used were in-depth interviews and observations. The number of informants in this study was eight people who were assigned based on purposive techniques. The informant is an intern supervisor and student who participated in Magang Bersertifikat Kampus Merdeka program at kantor Pertanahan Kota Medan. The results of this study show that the application of group communication in developing the work ability of internship students goes well. Group communication acts as a medium of discussion, persuasive media, dividing and assigning tasks, encouraging participation, balancing or coordinating media, reducing tension and establishing good cooperation between interns to employees at kantor Pertanahan Kota Medan. The group communication process carried out when in different section placements is to use WhatsApp social media in conveying information and directions from employees to interns.
