Rancang Bangun Sistem Ac Mobil menggunakan Kompresor Elektrik
Abstract
Conventional car AC systems place the highest additional load on the vehicle which
can increase fuel consumption by 20% during the standard driving cycle in summer.
This research aims to design a car AC system consisting of a cooling load, power
and rotation of the electric motor to drive the compressor, evaporator capacity,
condenser capacity, and type of expansion valve, develop a laboratory scale car
AC system, and identify the operating system. Research was carried out using the
principles of Cooling and Air Conditioning, Engineering Thermodynamics, Heat
Transfer, and cornerstone design calculations. The results of designing an electric
compressor that drives an electric motor is a load of 2,015 Kw, an electric motor
power of 745 Watts while the rotation of the electric motor drives the compressor
at a speed of 1400 rpm, an evaporator capacity of 3.22 kW, a condenser capacity
of 2,623kW, and an expansion valve type. used is (TXV) Thermostatic Expansion
Valve.
