This research aims to characterize banding patterns and genetic identification of several chili varieties from Lubuk Cuik village regarding genes for resistance to fusarium and anthracnose using SSR markers. This research was conducted at the Molecular Genetics Laboratory, Faculty of Agriculture, University of North Sumatra, Medan from March to September 2023. A total of 6 varieties of chili have been isolated. 3 primers CAMS – 390, ASSR – 2881, EPMS – 335 were used, the size of the bands produced varied between 547 – 758 bp and based on PCoA analysis there were 3 samples that were distributed, namely Local Green, Akar, and Indrapura. Determination of band size using UVITEC Cambridge FireReader software and calculation of genetic similarity and group formation using Multivariate Statistical Package (MVSP ver. 3.2) software. The results of the analysis showed that the 6 individuals were divided into 2 main groups with genetic similarity values ranging from 0.4-1.en_US
