Pengaruh Dosis Pupuk Majemuk KCaMgS terhadap Pertumbuhan dan Produksi Dua Varietas Kacang Tanah (Arachis hypogaea L.) Berbeda Jumlah Biji per Polong
Abstract
Groundnuts are food crops whose production needs to be increased to meet the needs of Indonesia. One of the efforts that need to be made to increase the national production of groundnut plants is to use KCaMgS compound fertilizer. This study aims to determine the effect of KCaMgS fertilizer on peanut plants. This research was conducted at Harmonika Baru, Padang Bulan Selayang II, Medan Selayang District, Medan, with an altitude of ± 25 meters above sea level from May to August 2023. This study used a Factorial Group Randomized Design of two factors and three repeats. The first factor is peanut varieties, namely Katana 1 (number of pods contains two) and Katana 2 (number of pods contains three). The second factor is that the dose of KCaMgS compound fertilizer consists of 0; 0,64 (107,125); 1,28 (214,25); and 2.57 (428.5) g/plant (kg/ha). The results showed Katana 1 variety at plant height 2-8 weeks after planting, wet and dry weight of shoot and root, weight of pod per plant, number of two seeds per pod, and weight of 100 seeds were highest compared to Katana 2. The Katana 2 variety had the highest number of empty pods and the highest number of three seeds per pod. Applying KCaMgS fertilizer significantly affects the number of filled and empty pods. The best dose was found at 1.28 g/plant (214.25 kg/ha) to increase the number of seed pods, and a dose of 2.57 g/plant (428.5 kg/ha) produced the lowest number of empty pods. The interaction of varieties and KCaMgS fertilizer dosage treatment had no significant effect on all parameters.
