Perencanaan dan Perancangan Instalasi Pengolahan Air Bersih di Kecamatan Pantai Labu Kabupaten Deli Serdang

Abstract

Air merupakan aspek penting dalam kehidupan manusia. Agar tetap sehat, air harus memenuhi persyaratan fisik, kimia dan biologi sesuai dengan Peraturan Menteri Kesehatan RI No. 492/Menkes/Per/IV/2010. Air tanah sudah tidak aman untuk dijadikan air bersih karena telah terkontaminasi oleh rembesan septik tank, maupun air permukaan buangan limbah industri dan rumah tangga. Hal ini yang menjadi alasan pembelian air bersih menjadi pilihan masyarakat untuk dikonsumsi. Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh tingginya tingkat masyarakat yang belum terlayani oleh pengolahan air bersih berstandar nasional. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merancang suatu bangunan pengolahan air bersih yang dapat melayani masyarakat di Kecamatan Pantai Labu Kabupaten Deli Serdang. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kualitas air yang dipakai oleh masyarakat dengan parameter DO, BOD, COD, dan FE tidak memenuhi syarat sebagai air bersih sesuai baku mutu PP No. 82 Tahun 2001. Dari hasil penelitian didapatkan total kebutuhan air masyarakat Kecamatan Pantai Labu sebesar 1.016.460 liter/hari atau dengan debit sebesar 22 liter/detik dapat melayani kebutuhan air masyarakat, dengan rencana pembangunan instalasi pengolahan air lengkap. Unit pengolahannya berupa : Unit Intake, Unit Koagulasi, Unit Flokulasi, Unit Sedimentasi, Unit Filtrasi, Unit Desinfeksi, dan Unit Filtrasi.

Water is the most important aspect in human life. In order to stay healthy, the water must meet physical, chemical, and biological requirements set in the Regulation of Minister of Health, The Republic of Indonesia No. 492/Menkes/Per/IV/2010. Ground water is not safe to be used as clean water because it has been contaminated by the leak of septic tank or the industrial and household liquid waste. This is the reason for buying clean water to be the people’s choice for consumption. This study is initiated by the high level of people who have not been served by national standard water treatment plant. This study aims to design a water treatment plant building that can servethe people in Pantai Labu subdistrict, Deli Serdang district. The results of the study show that the water quality used by people’s with DO, COD, BOD, and FE parameters does not meet the requirements as clean water according to PP No. 82 of 2001. From the results of the research, it is found that the water needs of the people’s of the Pantai Labu subdistrict for 1.016.460 liter/day or with a debit of 22 liter/second can serve the water need of the people’s with a plan to build a complete water treatment plant. The processing unit is : the Intake Unit, the Coagulation Unit, the Floculation Unit, the Sedimentation Unit, the Filtration Unit, the Disinfection Unit, and the Reservoir Unit.
