Eksplorasi dan Identifikasi Tanaman Tempuyung ( Sonchus arvensis L.) di Kabupaten Karo

Abstract

The purpose of the research was to explore and identify the morphological characteristics of tempuyung (Sonchus arvensis L.). The research was conducted from Agustus 2022 by descriptive survey method based on tempuyung descriptor of Centre for Agriculture and Bioscience (CABI) with sampling technique using accidental sampling. The result showed that in Karo district there were 27 genotypes of tempuyung been identified. The morphological characteristics for or leaf shape are generally pinnate, there are 3 kinds of leaf edges such as smooth, rough and very rough, leaf color is dark green, fruit shape is rectangle, seed shape is elliptical. The closest phylogenetic relationship was B6 and SE5 with coefficient dissimilarity 1,992% and farthest phylogenetic relationship was B1 and SE9 with coefficient dissmilarity 6,576%.
