Ornamen Gorga Rumah Parsaktian Datu Parulas Paultop : Kajian Semiotika

Abstract

This thesis is entitled "Gorge Ornaments of the House of Parsaktian Datu Parulas Paultop: Semiotic Study. This research aims to describe the form of symbols found in the Parsaktian Datu Parulas Paultop House, describe the function of the symbols contained in the Parsaktian Datu Parulas Paultop House, describe the meaning of the symbols in the Parsaktian Datu Parulas Paultop House. The theory used to analyze this data is the semiotic theory put forward by Peirce and the meaning put forward by Ogden and Richard. The method used in this research is a qualitative descriptive method. The results of the research were found, namely: The symbols contained in the Parsaktian Datu Parulas Paultop House contain 16 forms of symbols, 16 functions of symbols and 16 meanings of symbols, namely denotation meaning and connotation meaning.
