    Abstract
    Background: Nurses and doctors are responsible for providing holistic care for all patients. However, doctors and nurses experience mental stress while working to deal with Covid-19. Objectives :This study aim to look at the prevalence and levels of anxiety and depression in health workers, especially nurses and doctors at H. Adam Malik Hospital Medan during the COVID-19 pandemic. Methods: The design of this study is a descriptive study using a cross sectional design using the DASS-42 questionnaire which will be distributed to nurses and doctors in the isolation room both in the emergency room and in the treatment room and processed using the SPSS IBM 25.0 Result: rom the results of a survey conducted on 114 respondents, it shows that the largest number of respondents are women (62.3%) compared to men (37.7%). Of these respondents, the most age range is in the age group of 30-45 years (65.8%). The most common comorbid disease in the data in this study was hypertension at 18.4%, followed by diabetes mellitus and obesity at 8.8% for both. In this research, all health workers have been vaccinated against COVID-19 at least 2 times and 67.5% of them have had a history of being exposed to COVID-19 before. There were 6 respondents who had symptoms of depression with depression levels in the mild and very severe categories with the percentages of 3.5% and 1.8%, respectively. The survey results showed that as many as 29 respondents had symptoms of anxiety with mild levels of anxiety as the highest result with a percentage of 13.2%. Conclusion: The incidence of depression and anxiety was found in health workers at H. Adam Malik Hospital in Medan with various categories.
