Pengelolaan Asuhan Keperawatan pada pasien Congestive Heart Failure (CHF) dengan Terapi Massage Tungkai Kaki dan Tangan di Ruang Meranti - Mahoni Rumah Sakit Prof. dr. Chairuddin Panusunan Lubis Universitas Sumatera Utara

Abstract

Congestive Heart Failure (CHF) is the inability of the heart to pump blood normally to meet the metabolic needs of tissues sufficiently both at rest and during activities. The aim of this senior practicum is to provide nursing care by using massage therapy interventions of the legs and hands in CHF patients which can reduce anxiety, increase comfort and increase the body's physiological response (reducing systolic and diastolic blood pressure, lowering heart rate, reducing respiratory rate, increasing oxygen saturation). Giving massage therapy was carried out to three patients with nursing diagnoses of activity intolerance related to fatigue at Prof. Hospital. dr. Chairuddin Panusunan Lubis, University of North Sumatra. The results after the massage therapy intervention was carried out three times for three days to the patient: vital signs were within normal limits, able to carry out activities independently, and decreased anxiety levels. The conclusion obtained is that massage therapy affects the fatigue level of patients with CHF. Suggestions to be able to provide nursing care with different therapeutic innovations to CHF patients.
