dc.description.abstract | Celery is the second important crop of spice crops that have export value. Efforts to increase the yield and production of celery in the lowlands are still something that needs to be researched. This research aims to study the effect of planting media and growth regulators on celery grown in the lowlands. This research was conducted at Jalan Citra Anggrek, Medan Tuntungan Subdistrict, Medan City, North Sumatra Province with an altitude of ±45 meters above sea level from July 2023 to September 2023. This study used a factorial randomized group design with 2 factors. The first factor is the application of ZPT with 3 levels, namely control, coconut water, and synthetic ZPT. The second factor was the composition of planting media with 4 levels, namely top soil, top soil: husk charcoal: 1: 1, top soil: cocopeat: 1: 1, and top soil: husk charcoal: cocopeat: The results of the analysis showed that the composition of planting media and the application of ZPT had no significant effect on all observation parameters. The combination of top soil: cocopeat: 1: 1 with coconut water ZPT application produces the best growth and production of celery. The interaction between the composition of planting media and the application of ZPT had a significant effect on the parameters of the number of leaves and the number of tillers at 7 and 8 weeks after planting | en_US |
