This study aims to determine the effect of BAP and NAA medium concentrations on morphogenesis of mangosteen plants (Garcinia mangostana L.). using callus from cotyledons. This research was conducted at the Tissue Culture Laboratory, Faculty of Agriculture University of North Sumatera from June to September 2023. The experimental design used in this research was a factorial completely randomized design (RAL) was used with 2 factors and 3 replications, 0 ppm NAA, 0 ppm BAP (N0B0), 0 ppm NAA 1 ppm BAP (N0B1), 0 ppm NAA 2 ppm BAP (N0B2), 1 ppm NAA 0 ppm BAP (N0.5B0). 1 ppm NAA 1 ppm BAP (N0.5B1), 1 ppm NAA 2 ppm BAP (N0.5B2), 1 ppm NAA 0 ppm BAP (N2B0), 1 ppm NAA 1 ppm BAP (N2B1), 1 ppm NAA 2 ppm BAP (N2B2), Parameters observed in this study included the percentage of explants forming shoots (%), days of shoot emergence, shoot height, number of shoots, number of leaves and shoots forming roots. The research results showed that the combination of NAA + BAP had no real effect on all parameters. The combination of 1 ppm NAA 2 ppm BAP provided optimal growth in this study.
