    Abstract
Cardiac catheterization can cause complications such as bleeding and thrombotic complications. To reduce the occurrence of vascular complications after cardiac catheterization, the leg that was punctured remains straightened for 6 hours after removal of the sheat. The most common complaint by patients after undergoing cardiac catheterization during the immobilization process and long bed rest is back pain. The cause of back pain in post cardiac catheterization patients is muscle deficiency caused by lack of exercise as a result of prolonged bed rest or immobility. Non-pharmacological therapy to reduce back pain, namely the mobilization method (adjustment of the right oblique and left oblique positions) and autogenic relaxation techniques. This research method is in the form of a case study involving 3 post-cardiac catheterization back pain patients at the University of North Sumatra Hospital in Medan. Researchers carried out nursing implementation for 3 meetings. After applying the mobilization method and autogenic relaxation techniques, the results showed that the pain scale was reduced. The conclusion of this study is that mobilization methods and autogenic relaxation techniques can reduce pain in post-cardiac catheterization back pain patients from the moderate category (4-6) to the mild category (1-3). Researchers hope that nurses are able to optimize nursing care through the application of mobilization methods and autogenic relaxation techniques to reduce back pain in patients.
