Analisis Penerapan Software Gamatechno (Gt) Pustaka pada Perpustakaan Universitas Islam Negeri Sumatera Utara

Abstract

This research aims to determine on how to evaluate the application of Gamatechno software at the Library of the State Islamic University of North Sumatra in terms of user convenience. The research uses a descriptive method with a qualitative approach with indicators of usability which are divided into 6 (six) characteristics, namely Appropriateness, Recognition, Learnability, Operability. User Error Protection (Protecting users), Aestheticcs User Interface (website display is easy to understand), and Accessibility (Can be accessed). There are 9 (nine) informants in the research, namely the Head of the UINSU Library and 8 (eight) UINSU students. Data collection techniques are observation and interviews. The research results show that the application of Gumatechno Software to the UINSU Library is seen from the aspect of ease of use (usability). It can be concluded that the UINSU Library website is in accordance with user needs in the information search process. This can be seen from the interview results with respondents who say they already know how to use the UINSU library website, however, when it is viewed from the use of electronic journals there are obstacles for some students when accessing the electronic journal database as they do not know how to access the journal database subscribed to the UINSU library.
