dc.description.abstract | Rice is a rice-producing plant which is the main food commodity in Indonesia and
plays an important role in the Indonesian economy. Increasing plant productivity,
especially rice, cannot be separated from the use of inorganic fertilizers.
Uncontrolled use of inorganic fertilizers can reduce plant productivity and
environmental quality. Biosaka is one of the renewable technology systems in the
world of modern organic agriculture. Biosaka can reduce the use of inorganic or
chemical fertilizers. The research aims to examine the response to growth and
production of lowland rice plants due to the frequency of biosaka application. The
research was carried out in the Pasar II rice fields, Tebing Tinggi District,
Serdang Bedagai Regency, North Sumatra Province, at an altitude of 30 meters
above sea level. The research to be carried out is from May to August 2023. This
research used a non-factorial Randomized Block Design with 5 frequencies of
biosaka application, namely without biosaka (control), 2 times (22 and 42 HST), 4
times (15, 22, 42 and 52 HST), 6 times (15, 22, 32, 42, 52 and 62 HST), and 8
times (8, 15, 22, 32, 42, 52, 62 and 72 HST). The parameters observed were plant
height, number of tillers per clump, number of panicles per clump, weight of fresh
grain per sample and per plot, weight of dry grain per sample and per plot,
weight of 1000 grains. The research results showed that all the parameters
observed showed no significant effect except for the weight of 1000 grains.
Application of biosaka 8 times can increase the weight of dry grain/plot and the
weight of 1000 grains of dry grain. | en_US |
