dc.description.abstract | The COVID-19 pandemic has had a major impact on education systems around the world. Social and physical restrictions implemented to break the chain of transmission of the virus have forced educational institutions to switch to online learning. Even though online learning is much safer from a health perspective, it has brought new challenges to students, where they have to adapt to different learning environments and navigate the new curriculum through virtual platforms, as well as the lack of direct interaction with teachers and classmates and higher academic demands. heavier at home.
This type of research is a quantitative study with a cross-sectional research design that was carried out at State Senior High School 1, Medan. The population in this study was 158 students from State Senior High School 1 in Medan City. The method of data analysis in this study is logistic regression analysis.
The results of the study showed that there was a significant influence of online learning variables on stress variables in students during the COVID-19 pandemic (p <0.05).
Heavier academic demands, social isolation, and a lack of direct interaction with teachers and classmates are factors that cause stress in adolescents. Therefore, parents must provide emotional support, such as without pressure, while students study at home. | en_US |
