Background: Visum et Repertum (VeR) is a legal evidence according to Article 184 of the Criminal Procedure Code that reveals the results of medical examinations in criminal cases, replaces evidence with a doctor's opinion in conclusion, is important in proving human health and soul. Doctors are required to make a good VeR for legal and judicial purposes. Making a Visum et Repertum must be very clear so that it can be used as evidence in the process of proving a criminal offense and helping the court in enforcing the law. Methods: This research is a comparative analytic study with a cross-sectional design by comparing the level of knowledge before and after (before-and-after test) training in making Visum et Repertum (VeR) of living victims of injury cases. The sample consisted of 15 general practitioners of Tanah Karo Regency and 15 general practitioners of Labuhanbatu Regency who met the inclusion and exclusion criteria obtained using non-probability sampling type consecutive sampling, where the research subjects were asked to make a Visum et Repertum based on real cases that had been prepared previously through photographs. Then after that, the researcher will examine the Visum et Repertum and conduct an assessment on each variable and give a score to the Visum et Repertum. Results: This study found a significant difference in the level of knowledge of General Practitioners in making Visum et Repertum of living victims of injury cases before and after training with a p value = 0.003 in Tanah Karo Regency, while in Labuhanbatu Regency with a p value = <0.001. This study did not find a significant difference in the level of knowledge of General Practitioners before being given training with a value of p = 0.272 in both districts, while for after training we found a significant difference in the level of knowledge of General Practitioners with a value of p = 0.001 in both districts where the study was conducted. Conclusion: The provision of training in making Visum et Repertum is very necessary, based on this study we found an improvement in the quality of making Visum et Repertum (VeR) of living victims of injury cases after being given training.en_US
