    Abstract
Background: Kluwih (Artocarpus camansi (Parkinson) Fosberg) from the Moraceae tribe is one of the plants that grows in Indonesia and can be used in traditional medicine. Kluwih leaves contain phytochemical compounds such as alkaloids, tannins, steroids, flavonoids, triterpenoids, glycosides, anthraquinones, and GABA (Gamma Amino Butyl Acid). The flavonoid compound content is known to have antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, and antiviral activity. Antioxidant activity testing can be done using the DPPH method. DPPH (1,1 diphenyl-2-picryhydrazyl) is a DPPH radical absorption method that is simple, easy, and uses a small sample in a short time. In the DPPH test, the parameter used to measure antioxidant activity is the IC50. Objective: This study aims to determine the antioxidant activity of the ethanol extract of kluwih leaves (Artocarpus camansi) using the DPPH method. Method: Testing of the antioxidant activity of the ethanol extract of kluwih leaves was carried out using the DPPH (1,1 diphenyl-2-picryhydrazyl) method using a UV-Vis spectrophotometer. Results: Kluwih leaf ethanol extract has an IC50 antioxidant activity of 19.6982 μg/ml with a regression equation of y = 1.3176x + 24.0456 and a correlation coefficient of r = 0.8757. Conclusion: The antioxidant activity of the ethanol extract of kluwih leaves obtained by IC50 was 19.6982 μg/ml, which was categorized as very strong.
