Analisis Faktor-Faktor yang Mempengaruhi Volume Ekspor Pala Indonesia ke Negara Tujuan Ekspor Utama

Abstract

Indonesia is one of the largest nutmeg exporters in the world. Indonesian nutmeg export volume has developed every year, where in 2020 to 2021 Indonesian nutmeg export volume experienced a very significant increase. However, the development of Indonesian nutmeg export volume to the main destination countries was still experiencing fluctuating developments. The objectives of this research are: 1). To analyze the competitiveness of Indonesian nutmeg exports in the international market. 2). To analyze the factors that affect the export volume of Indonesian nutmeg exports to the main export destination markets. The methods used in this research were Revealed Comparative Advantage (RCA), Symmetry Revealed Comparative Advantage (SRCA) and Generalized Leat Square (GLS) on panel data with the gravity model. The RCA and SRCA analysis showed that Indonesian nutmeg have a strong comparative advantage in the international market with a positive trend. Meanwhile, based on the panel data analysis, the Exporter GDP variable and the exchange rate have a positive and significant effect on nutmeg exports. The population has a negative and significant effect on the export volume of Indonesian nutmeg, Importer GDP variable has a negative and insignificant effect on the export volume of Indonesian nutmeg. SRCA and Trade Costs variable have a positive but insignificant effect on the export volume of Indonesian nutmeg.
