research aims to explain about patampei parsahapan, describe speakers in
patampei parsahapan, analyze speech acts in patampei parsahapan, and describe
the function of speech acts in patampei parsahapan in ethnic Simalungun. The
theory used for this is speech act theory. This research uses the theory of speech
acts by Austin and Searle. Austin divides speech acts into three namely:
locutionary speech acts, illocutionary speech acts, and perlocutionary speech
acts. While Searle distinguishes illocutionary speech acts based on their functions
into five namely: representative, directive, expressive, commissive, and
declarative speech acts. This research uses descriptive qualitative method. From
this research, the following were found: that those who give speech acts in
patampei parsahapan are anak boru sanina, anak boru jabu from the paranak
and parboru parties, tulang 'uncle' from the bride-to-be, and traditional leaders.
In this patampei parsahapan there are locutionary, illocutionary, and
perlocutionary speech acts. Furthermore, four are three types of illocutionary
speech acts in patampei parsahapan, among others: representative speech acts,
directive speech acts, commissive speech acts, and expressive speech acts. | en_US |
