The Effect of Rain and Fertilization on the Productivity of Two Varieties of Palm Oil in Bah Jambi Plantation PTPN IV
Abstract
This study aims to determine and analyze the effect of rain, rainy days, and fertilization of NPK, Mg on the productivity of two varieties of oil palm in Bah Jambi PTPN IV Plantation, from July to Desember 2022. The hypothesis of this study is that there is a real influence of rainfall, rainy days, and fertilization of NPK, Mg and correlation on the productivity of two varieties of oil palm in Bah Jambi Plantation PT Perkebunan Nusantara IV. This study uses secondary data available in garden administration, including FFB production data in 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020 and 2021, rainfall data and monthly rainy day data in 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019 and 2020, NPK fertilization data, and Mg per semester in 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, and 2020. The analysis methods used are multiple linear regression analysis and correlation analysis. The model is tested for feasibility with classic assumption tests including normality tests, heteroskedasticity tests, multicollinearity tests, as well as autocorrelation tests using the SPSS.v.25 statistical tool for windows. The results showed that rainfall and rainy days had an unreal effect on increasing oil palm productivity in ppks and socfindo varieties for 5 years. The fertilization of NPK and the fertilization of Mg for 5 years have an unreal effect on increasing oil palm productivity in several years of oil palm planting. The correlation of rainfall and rainy days in oil palm crops of PPKS varieties and Socfindo varieties for 5 years has a sufficient and rather weak influence in achieving oil palm productivity. The correlation of NPK fertilization and fertilization of Mg has asufficient and rather weak influence in the achievement of oil palm productivity.
